The research question
Commodity analysis involves more than a single futures price. Spot prices, delivery months and fundamental information need to be considered together. Qiyan is a personal project exploring how to organize these inputs into a usable research workspace.
What the initial version brings together
- Contract settlement prices for methanol, ethylene glycol and soda ash.
- Spot–futures and basis comparisons.
- Links to relevant research reports.
Development approach
I developed the website with AI-assisted tools around my interest in commodity fundamentals and contract structure. The project connects research questions with a practical interface for reviewing market information.
Current status
This is an initial version. Some market data use historical snapshots, and automated retrieval is still being improved. It should not be treated as a live trading terminal.
